The Story of Everything

Genesis

This piece acts as a visual Midrash, or interpretation of scripture, reflecting on the poetry of the Book of Genesis. The subtle lines in the background of the image chart the decay of subatomic particles—the discovery that upended the Newtonian world of classical mechanics in much the way the scientific revolution called previous beliefs into question. By superimposing visual elements related to science and faith, the piece represents a higher unity joining these two forms of human knowledge.
