The Story of Everything

Space-Time

Prior to Einstein’s theory of relativity, Newtonian mechanics described astronomical phenomena within a framework of Euclidean space in which time is a universal constant. By contrast, Einstein’s theory hypothesized that sufficiently large stellar objects could warp the fabric of space-time. This artwork expands on the Cartesian coordinate system that defines three-dimensional space; lattice-like cubes in a multicolored energy field recede into the distance, evoking the fourth dimension of time.
